Got up this morning and right away went to the local tennis courts to play pickleball. However, it had rained during the night so the courts were too wet to play. We moved on to Plan B - sight seeing. Drove around the island some and then ended up on Assateague Island. Went to both visitor centers to find out about the Island and the ponies. We drove down the the beach, looked for ponies (didn't find any), and then headed back to the tennis courts.
Played some pickleball, came back to the campground for a swim and lunch.
Headed back to Asseteague Island about mid-afternoon and drove the "Wildlife Loop" looking for ponies. None to be found. Decided to drive the Beach Road again and voila! Ponies! A whole HERD of ponies! Such an awesome sight!!!
What is special about these ponies are they wild? And your not saying which state your in? I guess I could goggle these islands but their names are to ridiculous to remember how to spell them. More details please:)
